What to Expect

NewStory Church is a Christian church in Los Angeles welcoming people from all backgrounds. Whether you’re new to church or returning after time away, you can expect meaningful worship, practical teaching, and a friendly community. Our services are designed to help you feel comfortable, ask questions, and take your next step at your own pace.
What should I wear?
Come as you are! You'll see everything from jeans and sneakers to business casual. We care more about your heart than your outfit.
How long is the service?
About 60 minutes including live worship music and a practical, relevant message from the Bible - we start on time and wrap up efficiently so you can plan your Sunday.
What about my kids?
We love families! We have safe, fun environments for infants through high school with background-checked volunteers. Kids check-in is straightforward - just head to the right as you walk in the building.
College age and young adults?
We have a thriving young adult community! Whether you're in college, starting your career, or just navigating your twenties, you'll find people in similar life stages. We have specific groups and events designed for young adults to connect and grow together.
Is there food and coffee?
Yes! Free coffee is always available, plus our friends at Jetty Coffee Roasters (walking distance) have specialty drinks like cappuccinos and matcha for purchase.

We also offer snacks after 9 AM service and lunch for purchase after 11 AM service.
What if I'm not sure what I believe?
Perfect! Questions are welcome here. We're all figuring it out together, and there's no judgment for being in a different place spiritually.
Will I have to stand up or speak?
Nope! There's no pressure to participate beyond your comfort level. You can observe, participate, or just soak it all in.

Families

From infants to high schoolers, we create safe, fun environments where kids discover that they matter to God. Our Juniors (infants-preschool), Kids (K-5th grade), and Youth (6th-12th grade) ministries are designed to meet your child exactly where they are while you're in service.
